Butch Lewis comes to David’s House with substantial experience in both the for-profit business environment and the nonprofit sector. After high school Mr. Lewis joined the United States Marine Corps where he served for five years. He has also served supporting the United States Army as they ramped up to deploy after 9/11. Mr. Lewis attended Purdue University, majoring in Industrial Management and Organizational Leadership & Supervision, and Oxford University in England where he studied international conflict management. He was the founder of University Life, a West Lafayette, Indiana, based company designed to consolidate marketing on college campuses. In addition to these business ventures, Mr. Lewis has also worked as the Marketing Director for Trinitas Ventures, an Indiana-based land development company specializing in student housing. After leaving University Life he worked with several universities, government and non-profit organizations including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, Harvard University School of Law, Dallas School District, Homeland Security and K-Love Radio. Butch now lives in the foothills of Denver with his wife Beth, children Devon, Aydon and their dog Dozer. His personal interests include triathlons, snowboarding, movies and spending time with family.
Matt Louzon has worked in a variety of therapeutic roles with clients in the Denver area since 1993. Primarily, he worked with Excelsior Youth Center for 23 years. He developed their Community Based Services Program, coordinated many alternative treatment approaches for youth and families, trained staff in trauma informed care, and created a continuum of care to help families remain in their communities. Matt has spent 17 years as an individual addiction therapist and group facilitator with Saddle Rock counseling. Additionally, he is the Clinical Director for David’s Sober Living Community. A 501(c3) recovery community serving the Denver area since 2017.
Matt specializes in co-occurring treatment approaches that are based on the individual’s needs. Interventions are holistic in nature are designed to create long term mood management strategies.
Educational experience includes, an MA in Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado and a BS from Michigan State University. Matt has completed the Substance Abuse LAC curriculum from Colorado School of Family Therapy and has extensive training in Dialectic Behavior Therapy. Credentials include, LPC#4364, and is a Certified Motivational Interviewing Therapist (CMiT).
Blaine Gallup manages the day to day operations of the entire organization and is responsible for the overall health of the houses, coordinating efforts with House Management teams, staffing and providing solutions pertaining to residents and house issues. He manages the intake and exit process, resident receivables and charges, and housing needs.
Prior to working at David’s House, he was a consultant in the technology and broadcasting fields. Working with DIRECTV and XM Radio in their infancy. He is an Army Veteran with tours in Central America and Grenada in the 1980’s. He has two Army Commendation Medals and an Army Achievement Medal. Blaine had his early years in broadcasting while in the Army.
You can usually find Blaine grilling, barbequing, cooking or baking when he’s not at work. He is very busy with his three daughters and four grandsons and wonderful husband.
Patrick Smith comes to David’s House Sober Community as an attorney experienced in
corporate, business, real estate, and regulatory law. As such, he has been in private practice in Manhattan and Connecticut and general counsel to a multinational corporation in Colorado. He is admitted to the Bar in New York and Colorado and retired from Connecticut.
Further, as a businessman Mr. Smith has been involved in the establishment of a retail chain in Philadelphia, the expansion of an international wholesaler in the Rocky Mountain States and the revival of a historic restaurant franchise in New England. As such he contributes a unique mixture of legal acumen and business practicality to the operation of David’s House Sober Community.
Mr. Smith hold a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (Latin) from Hobart College.
